Example:

Flow Area of a Channel

The velocity of a stream of air is to be slowed by passing it through a flow channel which allows it to go from 50 kPa, -10oC, and 700 m/s to 150 m/s. The process may be assumed to be quasi-static and adiabatic. Calculate the entrance and exit flow areas for a mass flow rate of 1.2 kg/s. (CP = 1.005 kJ/kg.oC.)
