The given cycle can be split into two consisting of (i) 1-2-X-6-1 and (ii) X-3-4-5-X.

The cycle-i is clock-wise and cycle-ii is anticlock-wise. Both these cycle has the same amount of work interaction, but the signs are opposite. Cycle-i produces work, and cycle-ii needs work.
